Buying tickets can be a bit tricky and so hopefully this post can help you navigate through the various options. As of April 1, 2020 ticket prices did increase for both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea making the one day ticket $75. However, it’s still way cheaper that the US parks by at least $40 cheaper than the least expensive US Disney World and Disneyland.

The main options for tickets are 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, or 4 day tickets. The 1 and 2 day tickets are not park hopper tickets. Whereas the 3 and 4 day tickets, days 3 and 4 are hopper days. You need to specify which park you will be visiting on each of the first two days. No crazy surge pricing or special event pricing and etc. That’s it…

How to purchase

  • Online through Tokyo Disney Resort

  • Convenience Stores

  • Disney Stores in Japan

  • Hotel

  • 3rd Party

  • Credit Card Visa Concierge

  • Tokyo Disney Park

Online through Tokyo Disney Resort

I thought this was going to be the best option buying it directly from the resort online. It is true if you have a Mastercard credit card. I tried 3-4 different Visa credit cards on the site and every time it kept on requesting for a Verified by Visa. Come to find out international Visa and AMEX cards are not accepted on the site. Only Mastercard credit card seems to work.

Disney Stores in Japan

If are staying near a Disney store in Japan you can also pick up tickets there as well.

Convenience Stores

Park tickets are also sold at Lawson or Family Mart convenience stores which are literally located on every single block in Tokyo. For sure there is bound to be one around the corner from your hotel.

Hotel

Your hotel or even the Disney hotels may also sell the Disney park tickets as well. Check ahead of time and double check the form of payment as some only take cash.

3rd Party

There are sites like Klook.com and Voyagin.com that sell legit Tokyo Disney tickets as well as other attraction tickets. They don’t always have them available but also worth checking them out.

Credit Card Visa Concierge

Once I hit a dead end in trying to order the ticket through the Tokyo Disney Resort site I turned to my Visa card specifically my Chase Sapphire card that has been my true blue as you can say. It has a concierge service that I can call them up and request that they book reservations, flights, show tickets, and in this case Tokyo Disney ticket. It’s a service that is included in the CC at no additional cost. I gave the a call with the request and within 48 hours they were able to secure the tickets and have them emailed to me.

Tokyo Disney Park

Lastly you can always buy the tickets upon arrival to the park. The downside with this is that you will have to wait in line to purchase this ticket with many other. Whats worse is that you don’t automatically gain entry after purchase as you will need to stand in a second line to get through the entrance. So why stand in two lines when you can purchase the tickets in advance.
